This looks really amazing but I wonder if people would use something like this.. I mean, if you have a browser to access a desktop, you also have a desktop, no?

But maybe I am wrong and maybe it does make sense to host the entire OS + apps on the cloud so you could use a thin client with minimal processing power.

Thanks, I agree. It seems to me like it may have maybe more of an "online storage" use. As you said, perhaps it would be usefull for netbooks with less processing power.

It really doesn't seem to compare at all, as Dropbox has many more features. Dropboks does not do sharing yet, and the only option more than 1 gb is 2 gb for $2 a month. It gets rave reviews though for simplicity, quickness, and ease of use. I saved this for a quick, easy, seemingly reliable solution for quick storage if needed. I currently use Carbonite at home, it was on sale 50% with a code and it had pretty good reviews. I will be happy to give you the code if you think it might be a good solution for you - www.carbonite.com. It seems to be good for sync and backup though, not big on sharing either. I also almost chose Mozy.com, as it had good reviews also but was more expensive with no discount. My favorite one I have seen so far is www.zumodrive.com. It seems great, like a virtual hard drive on your own computer. It is more expensive though...I have heard you get what you pay for.
The breakdown of my research is this:
Dropboks = fast, simple quick solution for a small amount of data - no sharing yet, not robust.
Carbonite.com or Mozy.com –Cheaper, good-reviewed robust sites for actual full computer backups and synching. Unlimited storage with flat fee, around $55 a year. Carbonite has 50% off discount code out there last I knew.
ZumoDrive.com and Dropbox.com - more expensive (different data size plans) but look smooth, super easy, modern, nice interfaces, great for sharing, and also have mobile phone access – ZumoDrive has an iPhone app.
I hope this helps, there is a lot to choose from. I chose Carbonite for the cheap price and just to have a reliable backup of everything on my computer without thinking about it. I figure I would use something easy with free gb’s if I wanted easy portability.

Aunt Norma's cheese ball recipe. Thanks Norma!!

8 oz. cream cheese
¼ lb. of butter
1 clove chopped garlic
2 tbsp. chopped onion
¼ cup grated mild cheese
¼ cup grated old cheese
½ tsp. Oregano
¼ tsp. Basil
¼ tsp. Thyme
½ tsp. salt / pepper

Cream / cream cheese + butter
Add herbs and gratted cheese and mix well
Shape into a ball and roll in chopped walnuts if desired
Refrigerate until firm
Serve with crackers, bread, veggies, etc.
