At the Imperial restaurant in Ottawa, I had a truly tasty salad. Tonight, I tried to make a version inspired by that recipe:
Julienned beet and pear
On a bed of mixed greens
With thinly sliced red onion
Topped with maple candied walnuts
And globs of borgonzola cheese
With a lime juice and mint dressing
And salt and pepper to taste
